Concord & 9th: Happy Headlines...the finale

Hello, friends!  I cannot believe we are already here, but today is my final official post for Concord & 9th's August Release.  It has been an absolute joy guest designing for them this month!

Today we are sharing projects using the Happy Headlines Bundle.  Both my parents and in-laws celebrate their anniversaries in a few weeks, so I knew right away that I would make an anniversary card although Happy Headlines Bundle works for LOTS of celebratory occasions.

I wanted all the little extras to pop, so I went pretty literal with the newspaper colors (cobblestone stamped onto pebble cardstock).

There are so many cute dies in this set, but since I love flowers, this darling little bouquet of flowers caught my eye.  Those petite little blooms are so cute! I cut them in sunflowergrapefruit, and watermelon, with evergreen stems. Then I added various hearts from the Happy Headlines Dies

Thank you so very much for joining me this wonderfully crazy week.  I hope that you have enjoyed it as much as I have!

Concord & 9th: Door Decor

Hello!  It is sad to say, but my time guest designing with Concord and 9th this month is winding down.  I've enjoyed it immensely.  I love creating with their products and it has been fun to push myself to try new things and new color combinations. Today we are sharing Door Decor Bundle, and oh was it ever fun to create with!

As I created today's card I was very much wishing I could wave a magic wand and transform it into a real door at my home.   I used the Door Decor Bundle exclusively on this card, and the most wonderful thing is that the dies included will help you create doors for all seasons. I know the dies are currently sold out, but I'm sure they will be restocked soon, so run and get on that waiting list.
I chose the lovely color palette of mushroom doors with pebble windows and gold foil door handles. The Door Decor Dies cut a shaped interactive card, so I used pebble on my card base as well.
Then I decorated the front porch for fall with lots of pumpkins and leaf garlands galore in nectar, grapefruit, wheat, pebble, cobblestone.  There are so many possibilities with the Door Decor Dies!
I added a nectar banner and gold embossed one of the sentiments in the Door Decor Stamp Set.
Remember the part about these dies being interactive?  Well, those beautiful doors open to whatever lovely message you decided to include on the inside.  So cute, right?
I think the Door Decor Bundle is so much fun!  I have a second card that I've made using these dies that I will share soon.  I'm not sure which one is my favorite, but I'd take either of them for my real doors in a heartbeat.
Thank you for visiting today!  I hope you'll stop by tomorrow for one last post guest designing for Concord and 9th's August Release.

Concord & 9th Autumn Inlay Die

Good morning!  I am delighted to be showcasing Concord & 9th's Autumn Inlay Die today.  I used it yesterday, too, and truthfully I could have used it again and again.

If you are wondering what my favorite products are from this entire Concord & 9th August release, look no farther! I absolutely adore the More To Say Dies and Autumn Inlay Die

I happen to really enjoy paper piecing, so Autumn Inlay Die is right up my alley.  I chose the a pebble base and pieced in briar rosespiced cidereucalyptuspebblewheat, and cobblestone

I repeated the colors (cobblestonespiced ciderbriar rose, and eucalyptus) with the More To Say Dies.

I hope you have a blessed Sunday, friends!  I have a couple more cards to share this week.  This release really was a big one!

Concord & 9th: More to Say

Happy Saturday, friends!  The fun continues with Concord and 9th's More To Say Dies.  This font may look familiar, and if you are anything like me you will be absolutely familiar to see an addition to this line.  I absolutely adore it!

One thing I love about these dies is that they make such an impact that you have to do very little with the rest of the card.  Indeed I love the simplicity of this card.
I cut the oval window using the Friendly Florals Dies. Then I adhered it to a panel cut with the new Autumn Inlay Die. (Love, love, love!)
I actually cut the Autumn Inlay Die four times (one in briar rosespiced cider, stardust, and wheat), so I could piece in all the cutouts. I knew I wanted nutmeg for the leaf veins and acorns, so I adhered everything to a nutmeg card base.
I finished my card with a twine bow and one of the fabulous More To Say Dies cut in briar rose and spiced cider.

This is one of my favorite cards I made for this release.  I hope you enjoyed it! See you tomorrow!

Concord & 9th: Toadstool Turnabout

Hello there!  The power has been out most of the day here, so I'm popping in quickly to share the card I made using Concord & 9th's Toadstool Turnabout Bundle

This bundle contains the darling Toadstool Turnabout Stamp Set as well as some fabulous dies.  My favorite is the stacked sentiment die included in the Toadstool Dies.  You can use the greetings separately or all together with a shadow.  LOVE!
I stamped the Toadstool Turnabout Stamp Set with midnight, harborspiced cider, and sunflower inks, and repeated those colors with with the sentiment dies. I finished the card by tucking in few mushrooms and flowers.
So glad you stopped by today!  Believe it or not, we still have several sets to share (this was a big release!), so I'll be back tomorrow. :) See you soon!

Concord & 8th: Mushroom Medley

Good morning!  I'm excited to share with you Concord and 9th's darling Mushroom Medley Bundle. If you love autumn and mushrooms (and I do!), you are going to love this set.

The  Mushroom Medley Dies create mushrooms of different shapes and sizes and include some extra foliage as well.  They were easy to assemble, too. Yay for that!  I believe I used every single die in the set on my card.
I chose a color scheme that gave a nod to fall, but I purposely didn't go too fall-ish because I think this set is cute enough to be used any time of year.  The colors I used were: Spiced Cider, Watermelon, Nectar, Peacock, Tidepool, and Pebble.  And although I didn't use the Mushroom Medley Stamp Set, it also comes with some darling sentiments and little smiling faces you can add to the mushrooms if you want to up the cuteness factor even more.
I added the little mushroom scene to a watermelon gingham card base cut from the 2024 Color Collection Patterned Paper Pack.  A bow and a sentiment from the Mushroom Medley Dies, and the card was good to go!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by! I hope you've been enjoying this week as much as I have. :) You can shop to get all of these fabulous new goodies here.

Concord & 9th: Party Animal

Hello, friends!  Today I'm sharing the Party Animal Bundle from Concord and 9th's new release.  It is impossible to use this set and not smile.  Just something about balloon animals I guess.  Growing up my sister went through a phase of making balloon animals, so I think those memories make me even more fond of this set.
The Party Animal Bundle comes with dies, stamps, and two sets of stencils to create a balloon animal background or a large balloon animal focal point.
I chose a happy color palette of watermelon, creamsicle, buttercup, sea glass, aqua sky, and oceanside
I loved the sentiments so much that I stamped them in a bunch of colors and built a colorful background with them on my second card.   I arranged them on top of a card base cut with the Stitched Polka Dot Card Front Die
Then I added a creamsicle animal balloon on top.  I finished the card with a die cut sentiment from the Markered Messages Dies
Easy peasy, colorful, and fun!
Well, that's all folks!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you leave with a smile. :)

Waffle Flower + My Sweet Petunia Collab: Floral Hugs

Hello, friends!  Today Waffle Flower is teaming up with My Sweet Petunia in a special Instagram Hop to highlight My Sweet Petunia's Precision Glue Press. (The handy, dandy tool you see in the photo below although I accidentally cropped it out more than I intended.) My Sweet Petunia was kind enough to send us the Precision Glue Press to try out.  Before I received it, all I knew is that it looked like a glue gun and I was intrigued.

I decided to make a card heavy with dies, so I would have lots of opportunities to try out the glue press, Waffle Flower's Layered Daisy Die was perfect.  It makes the cutest, happiest little flowers.  I cut a powder blue base with the Dashed Rhombus Panel Die, layered the largest Pinking Rectangle Frame on top, and went to town making the flowers.
It took a little bit of adjusting to the Precision Glue Press just because I had to hold it differently than my regular glue bottle, but in no time at all I wasn't even thinking about it and loved that I could quickly grab and glue without fiddling with a cap or unplugging dried glue. I also really liked that the long tip allowed me to squeeze the glue between all my prearranged layers, so I didn't have to lift each layer in the stack to glue them down.  I could hold the whole flower stack together and simply squeeze the glue in between.  I'm a big fan!
I finished my card with the Oversized Hugs Print Die
Thanks so much for visiting today!  Make sure you head to my my Instagram account, so you can officially join the hop.  There are some great prizes up for grabs!

Concord & 9th: Cut the Cake

Good morning!  It's with absolute joy to share that I am guest designing with Concord & 9th this month.  In August they celebrate their 9th birthday, so it's an extra special release, and I'm honored to be a part of it.  All week long I will be showcasing products from their newest release and the bundle of the day is Cut the Cake

This bundle is super fun with coordinating stamps, stencils, and dies (all of which I used today).  I wanted to fully embrace the happiness of the occasion, so I chose a bright, happy color palette with some gold and glitter added for good measure.
My girls love to dream of what their birthday cakes will look like and layered colored cake on the inside is always a hit, so I filled my cake with buttercup, creamsicle, and sweet pea layers. The Cut the Cake Stamp Set has a bunch of fun sentiments, and I chose one that would be great for lots of celebratory occasions not just birthdays.
I added my cake onto a card base made of carnation, sweet pea, creamsicle, buttercup, and powder cardstock that I cut with Stitched Polka Dot Card Front Die.  Then I sprinkled on some white confetti from the older All the Birthdays Dies

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Make sure to come back and visit this week.  I have lots more to share! :)

Waffle Flower August Release + Giveaway

Hello!  Today is the big day!  Waffle Flower's August release is live and ready for shopping.  Yay!  You can shop all the new goodies HERE.  Plus, I have a GIVEAWAY to share with you, so make sure you read to the bottom of the post.

I adore the Winter Floral Stencil and couldn’t stop creating with it!  So I cut a panel with the largest, straight stich A2 Lacy Layers Diepulled out all the Winter Floral Stencils, and got to work.

I wanted to add a bit of dimension to my card, so I stenciled the large floral a second time and popped it up in the center of my card.  Then I added lots of snowy goodness by flicking white paint all over everything.  It really doesn’t take much to create a beautiful card using the Winter Floral Stencil because the beauty is built right into the design.
I’m equally smitten with the Holiday Cheer Stamp Set and think these products pair perfectly together.

Thanks so much for visiting today!  All of these fabulous products, cute book-themed products, and more are available now, so make sure you head over to the Waffle Flower Shop to check out this amazing new release.  But before you go, don't forget to enter the giveaway. :)

*****GIVEAWAY*****

Just leave a comment below by 11:59 pm EST August 7, 2024 and you will have a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Waffle Flower Crafts.  I am accepting comments on my instagram account, too, so make sure you head over there as well for an additional entry. :) Several other design team members are hosting giveaways, and you can use #WaffleFlowerGiveaway to quickly search for them.

Waffle Flower Sneak Peek Day 2

Hello, friends!  Welcome back to Day 2 of Waffle Flower's August release sneak peeks.  Today we are highlighting some fantastic new Christmas products, but you'll see that they can be used for Christmas and beyond.

The Winter Floral Stencil and Stitching Die were love at first sight for me!  They are my favorite!  The design is stunning and looks great whether you add stitching or not.  I love stitching on cards, though, so I went that route.

I promise the stitching is easy and comes together surprisingly fast.  I chose some purples and greens from Waffle Flower's 48-color embroidery floss pack to use for my stitching.

I wanted to really let the stitching shine, I kept everything simple.  I added a few enamel dots and cut the panel with one of the A2 Lacy Layers Dies.  A sentiment from the new Holiday Cheer Combo was the perfect finishing touch.

Because I adore the Winter Floral Stencil, I wanted to showcase its versatility, especially depending on the colors you use.  (But I didn't even change those, and I still think it works.)  I absolutely think this set can be used all year, so I created a second card using the same design but changed the occasion to be birthday themed.

I simplified this card by using stencils only and no hand-stitching (although I snuck in a little stitched touched by using the largest, straight stich A2 Lacy Layers Die.)

I added a little bling by making it an infinity shaker card.  The Sweet Lattice Sentiments (which have been revamped a bit for this release) provided the perfect sentiment for the occasion.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I look forward to seeing you tomorrow and sharing another sneak peek. :)  I hope you have a lovely weekend!
