PPP: Hedgehog Birthday

Hello, friends!  The end of the month kind of snuck up on me, so I wanted to pop in and share one more card before we officially moved on to March.  This card uses an incentive stamp that was offered in Pretty Pink Posh's January release called Hedgehog Birthday.  I think it's such a cute little scene!  And don't worry if you missed it; it will be released for sale, too.
First, I embossed Hedgehog Birthday in white on black cardstock.  I wanted to add a bit of color to the card, so I lined the panel with 1-inch strips of Concord & 9th cardstock in Sprout, Clover, Sea Glass, and Peacock. (Such pretty colors!) I added an off-set white panel below, but it still didn't seem quite enough, so I stamped the itty bitty confetti image in Pretty Pink Posh's Let's Party stamp set all over the card base with Sea Glass ink.
I hope you've had a wonderful weekend!  Thanks for visiting!

Little Hearts = Lots of Love

Hello, again!  I'm back with another simple card, but one that has me smiling lots.  In January Pretty Pink Posh released a great new coverplate die called Heart Vines.  Included in it is a die of two rows of tiny hearts that make great accents on the coverplate; however, I love it all on it's own.  One of my favorite things to do with my stamp and dies sets is look for the little things that could maybe be initially overlooked and find a way to bring them to the center stage.
I placed the die on a mini card (it measures 2.5"x 4.25") and cut it three times.  Then I cut tiny strips of paper in shades of pink, coral, and red and adhered them to the back side of the card base.  You could also cut the hearts in various colors and adhere them to the card base, but this method is much quicker, and I like seeing the negative space from the cuts.  It's also a great way to use up even the tiniest bits of my Concord & 9th paper, which I love and hoard all at the same time.  I finished the card with a little sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh's All My Love stamp set.
Simple as could be, but a design that could really be used any time of year.  Valentines certainly isn't the only time people need to be reminded that they are loved. :) Thanks so much for visiting today!

Easy Love Day Card

Hello!  My kiddos had to bring in their valentines extra early this year because they have to quarantine before anything can be sent home.  My daughter and I made her valentines together, and I also made a couple valentine cards.  But then because of the craziness of life, I forgot to share them.  Luckily I remembered today!  Sometimes I forget how much I love just putting ink to paper.  I grabbed several shades of coral, pink, and red and simply stamped cascading hearts using the Pretty Pink Posh Valentine Hearts stamp set.

I added a stacked love sentiment from the coordinating Valentine Hearts dies and sprinkled on some 3mm sparkling clear sequins (yep, they are there...).  Quick, easy, colorful, and still easy to mail.  Ahh, so many of the things that make me happy all in one place. :)  Hoping your week is a happy one.  I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share.  See you soon!
