25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 3

Happy Tuesday!  Altenew is the sponsor of Day 3 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, so we get to share tags today using their awesome products.

I am often in awe of their intricate designs, but today I decided to go a different route.  About a month ago I bought Altenew's Poinsettia Pieces stamps and dies.  I loved the cute bits and pieces in the set and the simple images.  I knew it had great floral arranging potential, so that's exactly how I used it on today's tag.

I also used a super fun color line-up using inks and papers from Concord & 9th in Stardust, Ballet Slipper, Honeysuckle, and Evergreen (you can find them here).  After arranging the flowers, berries, and pines I wanted a really basic tag shape, but it needed to be long enough for all the colors.  Of course I didn't have the right size, but then it finally dawned on me...just cut a rectangle.  I had to laugh at how long I had searched for just the right die when the solution could not have been simpler.  I cut the rectangle, glued the strips of paper town, and the tag was good to go.
I've never used this color combination before, but I must say that I am a fan.  I have several little flowers and berries and leaves leftover, too, so I see a companion tag coming in the near future. ;) I hope I've been able to inspire you today, but make sure you check out all the other fabulous tag designs today on Tracey's blog.  Thanks for visiting!
