25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 13

 

Today is Day 13, which menas we've reached the halfway mark, friends!  Can you believe it?  I'm so into tag making mode that I hope I remember how to make a card after this.  Haha!  But seriously.  

Today's tags feature products from Paper Sweeties.  When I was searching their site, the Rectangle Scallop Frames immediately stood out.  So cute!  I put them in my cart and had to have the Merry stamps as well because I thought the handwritten style paired so well with the style of frames.  I also saw the Doodlebug Christmas Town mini icon stickers in their shop and immediately the idea for this tag was born.  I knew exactly what I would make before I had even finished checking out. And I really didn’t stray from that idea.

I've been wanting to make a shaker tag and now seemed like the perfect time.  I started by building a snowy scene.  I cut a hillside using glittery scraps from yesterday's tags, then added some falling snow in the sky.  Then I added three cute gift givers from the Christmas Town stickers.  I haven’t used stickers in a while, but after making this tag, I think I should remedy that.  It was so fast, they’re so bright and colorful, and I didn’t have to color a thing!  And these stickers are cardstock stickers, so they are extra sturdy. 

I don't know why, but I feel the need to be using all the sparkle these days, so I cut a glittery frame and filled my shaker with more glitter.  I was going for a snowglobe effect here.  The last touch was to add the sentiment.  I didn't have the patience to let ink dry on the acetate, so I ended up stamping "merry" and trimming out the letters.  A few quick dabs of glue and done.
