25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 15

Good morning!  We're two weeks in! It’s been so fun seeing all the tags you have been creating.  One of the things I love about this event is that so many companies are featured and that lends itself to a lot of variety.  Today, our fabulous sponsor is...
I've long admired Honey Bee's Rejoice stamp set and was excited to purchase it early this fall.  I think it is so beautiful on it's own, so I decided to keep it simple and let it's beauty sing.
These tags could not have been easier.  This stamp set is mostly sentiments, but this sentiment has a floral spray attached to it, so to create these tags I simply had to stamp once.
These tags are very large.  They are a little over 4" in diameter and cut with an old Winnie & Walter die called Carly Cutaways.  (I sometimes hesitate to share retired products, but truth is, some of the things I love just didn't stay around long enough, and I still want to use them.)  Okay, back to the tag.  Since I was going so simple I figured I could at least take the time to emboss. ;) I love how luxurious black embossing looks, but find stray specks to be a particular challenge, so I've found a better way.
I now stamp with Versafine Onyx Black (which I couldn't live without), and pour clear embossing powder on top.  The ink stays wet quite a while, so it is easy to do, and the result is perfect everytime.  And if there are a few stray clear specks.  No big deal.  Chances are nobody will be able to see them.  (I use the clear embossing trick with other colors, too.  It doesn't work for all circumstances, but it saves heaps on needing to buy a bunch of embossing powders.)
Thanks for visiting!  Today is surely going to be a day of beautiful inspiration, so make sure to head to Tracey's blog next.  You won't want to miss seeing anyone's creations.
