Hi! Just popping in to share a card I made for PTI's Make It Monday challenge. Sometimes I feel like I need to be a bit more free spirited, so randomly stamping a background was good for me. :) I had fun, and I really tried hard to ignore that things weren't quite as evenly distributed as I would have preferred, resisting all urges to toss this card and start over, so I'm proud of myself. :) I used a color combo from The Color Throwdown, but in my efforts to keep family time my top priority, I didn't get the card finished and posted in time. No big deal, though, because I actually just love this color combo, and I'm always glad to find colors that make me happy. And something about all those pillows looking like they're being tossed in the air makes me happy, too. Oh, and I love this sentiment. The inside reads "feel better soon", and although I made this as a get well card, I decided that "Need a couch day?" perfectly describes how I feel on some of the tougher mom days. Every once in a while there are days where I have to work very hard at resisting the urge to just plop on the couch and stay there until bedtime. I'm hoping someone out there can relate. :) Maybe I should make a tag like this into a magnet and stick it on the fridge, so if a days seems to be going a bit rough I can look at it and hopefully it will make me smile. Oh, and I almost forgot. I'm also linking this up at the Simon Says...Anything Goes Challenge. I love those. It's kind of fun to have so much variety in the the projects linked up.

Oh I can relate to those "need a couch days" LOL - it does get easier as they get older, or maybe the challenges just change a little. Love the colors & that you relaxed & went with a random background.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! Love the double tags.
ReplyDeleteThe cushion/ pillow background works really well with your tag- fab card. (We call them cushions in England!)
ReplyDeleteLove your card and how you stamped the pillow in the background.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to those 'need a couch day'! Had one today...my girls ages 8 and 11 were at odds all day...yikes!
ReplyDeleteI love this card, Lidsey! The background you created with pillows is so unique!
Wow--I can totally relate to needing a couch day! I love everything about this card--the throw pillows actually thrown, the sentiment, the colors and how you used the tags. It's getting Pinned and CASed. OK?
ReplyDeleteSo much fun and so original! Love the colours too.
ReplyDeleteI love how you stamped the background with the pillow! This is so sweet!
