Hello, friends! Today starts the beginning of Waffle Flower's Christmas in July Sneak Peeks. Yay! I never have time to make Christmas cards in December, so I'm all for Christmas in July.
You know it wouldn't be a special Waffle Flower release without a new addition to the Postage Collage Collection, right? Well, good news is that there are several additions in this release! Today I'm giving you a peek of the Postage Collage Poinsettia. ALL the heart eyes for this one! It's quickly become a favorite.
Maybe because I was creating this card in June, but I decided to go with a really fresh and fun color scheme. It is most definitely non-traditional, but I have to say....I LOVE it! The colors are Concord & 9th's nectar, grapefruit, powder, eucalyptus, evergreen, and honeycomb.
One thing I love about the Postage Collage Collection is how quickly a card can come together. After die cutting the Postage Collage Die, in no time I was able to create a beautiful background of flowers with the Postage Collage Poinsettia stencils. I loved the flowers so much I didn’t want to cover them, so I kept my card simple and added just a few gold and glitter details. It was such a simple change up, but I think embossing the postage in gold gave it a very different feel than the typical black stamping I do. Speaking of gold, a gold embossed sentiment from the new Family Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set was the perfect finishing touch for my card. I'm a huge fan of this new sentiment set!
Thanks so much for visiting today! Make sure you come back tomorrow because I'll have sneak peeks to share all week. :)
