Spellbinders January Club Kits Recap

Hello, friends!  Spellbinders is headed into their new February Club Kits, and while you are prepping to purchase the new products, I wanted to remind you of some fabulous ones from the January Release that you might want to add to your cart while you are at it.

The kit that surprised me the most was the Small Die of the Month.  I thought that the dragonfly was neat, but truthfully other kits caught my eye more.  BUT then I started creating with it, and I ended up really loving it...so much that I decided kept going and created a second card.

I've always admired the iridescent nature of dragonfly wings, so I set out to achieve that on my card.  I paired holographic cardstock and vellum for the wings and love how it turned out!
I splattered my card base with some shimmery ink, used the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month on white cardstock, and die cute it with the oval frame from the Stitching Die of the Month.

I also added a double sentiment from the Stitching Die of the Month. The Small Die of the Month includes some petite flowers, and I paired them with some foliage from the Large Die of the Month to finish off the card.

I certainly didn't want the beautiful holographic negative pieces from the dragon fly wings to go to waste, so I created a second card.
I adhered the negative pieces to Concord & 9th's blueberry cardstock and aqua mist cardstock to the dragonfly body center.
I pulled out the Stitching Die of the month again, but this time cut the oval holes directly on the card base without using the frame die.  I love how it so beautifully and simply frames the dragonfly.
I added a few petite blooms and the sentiment included in the Small Die of the Month set.
Now switching gears, I have one final card to share with you.
January's Glimmer of the Month Club showcases an intricate knotted background.  I used Spellbinder's Aura Glimmer Foil to create this CAS card.

Thee background is so pretty on it's own, I simple added a foiled sentiment included in the kit and a few flowers from the Spellbinders January Large Die of the Month

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  If you missed my previous posts showcasing more of January's Spellbinders Club Kits, you can find them here and here.

Spellbinders January Stitching Die of the Month: Stitched Ladybug

Hello, friends!  I've been having fun using several of Spellbinder's January Club Kits,  One of my favorites is the Stitching Die of the Month.  I've rediscovered lately that I really enjoy stitching.

Stitched Ladybug obviously comes with dies to create ladybug, but I decided to go more of a generic beetle. In order to do that, I overlapped the two wing pieces and continuously stitched around in a radial pattern.
I opted not to stitch the oval frame from the Stitching Die of the Month because I think it looks fabulous both ways.

I die cut two of the sentiments included in the stamp set with balsa wood, which embossed deep and beautiful.
Finally, I added some foliage from the Large Die of the Month: Botanical Atrium.
With my focal point finished, I embossed a wheat card base with the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, flicked on some white paint, and adhered everything on top.

Waffle Flower February Release + Giveaway

Hello, friends!  Waffle Flower's newest Butterfly Blossom Release is officially live and ready for shopping,  Yay!  (You can find it here.) This release is fabulous and will certainly have you itching for spring.

My card combines so many of my favorite products from this release.  The Butterfly Blossom Dies were love at first sight for me!  They stand alone beautifully, or they can be added to the amazing Butterfly Blossom Texture Die as you can see here.

The Butterfly Blossom Texture Die guides your placement of the flowers and butterflies, and I love the option to use the Butterfly Blossom Dies for added dimension on your card.

Another favorite product is the Overlapping Alpha Dies.  Alphabets offer limitless possibilities making it it was easy to come up with the perfect sentiment.  I paired the alpha dies with the new Overlapping Hugs Additions Stamp Set and Matching Die

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Don't forget to read on and enter the giveaway.  Wishing you a lovely rest of your week, friends!
