Good morning! Though I'm shocked we're already at the end of May, the last day of the month is always fun because it means I get to share my cards for The 12 Kits of Occasions. It's always so fun to see what my friends put in their kits each month, and this month was especially fun because everything our lovely host Nancy put in it was new to me. It pulled me out of my comfort zone, but I think these cards came together quicker than any other kit I've worked with. (Don't forget you can see the full supply list for the kit HERE.) I made my cards in sets of two, so without further adieu, here are my cards.
This farm themed kit had lots of chickens in it, and the chickens from Stampin' Up's Hey Chick set were my absolute favorites. Aren't they fun? They just make me laugh.
I wanted those fabulous hens to take center stage, so I kept the layout simple. I simply cut some of the patterned paper with one of Concord & 9th's Select-A-Size Edge Dies (love them!) and finished it off with a die from the kit: Hey Y'all by Frantic Stampers.
Nancy did all the hard work for this card. She cut and pieced together the chicken, so all I had to do is cut a few banners and layer them on this fun Chicken Wire background from Stampin' Up.
I was pretty lucky to get this next duo of cards made. My daughter loved all the stamps from Lawn Fawn's Hay There and Rub-a-Dub-Dub sets and every couple minutes kept snatching another animal from my pile. By the time I finished these cards there was only one animal left that she hadn't swiped. :)
My favorite discovery while making this card was that MFT's Zig Zag Stiched Circle Dies make a great sun.
This last card was my family's favorite. They loved that the barn doors open. I used a bunch of goodies from Nancy's kit, only adding a few clouds in the sky and "thanks" from Concord & 9th's Fabulous Phrases Dies. And here's the line up all together.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure you head to the The 12 Kits of Occasions Blog, so you can see how all the wonderful ladies in the group and our guests used their kits. You're headed for lots of fun inspiration. :)
