Hello! I'm happy to be back and to be able to share a card for a few challenges that I've been dying to participate in. All month long Winnie & Walter have been having their 2nd {Belated} Birthday Bash, and I made this card with two of their challenges in mind: Create Your Own Background and "Over the Edge". I'm hoping it was okay that I literally let the images go over the edge...it just looked better that way. I also used CAS(E) This Sketch #159 and the bottom row of Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #4 (one layer, stencil, plants) for additional inspiration. I created the background by sponging W&W's Classic Diagonal Creative Screening in two directions. I chose a bright, cheery color combo because those are two of the words I would use to describe the dear friend this is going to. :) Hope that you are having a wonderful week!
Love your fresh take on the sketch, Lindsey! That pop of blue from the bird is awesome!

ReplyDeletePretty pretty card Lindsey!! I like your blue bird perched on the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteThe plaid and the vellum are fabulous Lindsey!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Thanks for joining us at CAS(E) This Sketch!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the plaid on this!! I wanted to make my own plaid for this challenge but never got around to it!! Your use of vellum on this for the leaves is lovely and the addition of the blue bird is just perfect. Beautiful card!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous collage of delicious die cuts, Lindsey ... gorgeous against that bright, vibrant lattice background! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOh I do love how your elements are going off the edge themselves ... especially the vellum! What a great look. Wonderful combination of colors too; they're ones I don't see together often but you've really made them shine. Thanks so much for joining the Winnie & Walter Off The Edge challenge!
ReplyDeleteThe elements off the edge give your creation a more natural feel, which I love. The vellum leaves are fab layered over the bright red/pink stenciled background.
