Hello, friends! I'm so glad to be joining in on Papertrey's "Pretty in Pink" Blog Hop today. I'm not really a pink kind of girl, but the inspiration board was fantastic, and I had several ideas I wanted to try out for today's hop.
Time only allowed for one card, but I'm happy that I got this one done! :)
I combined flowers and leaves from Bigger Blooms, Birds & Blooms, and Turning a New Leaf on my project. Even then I found myself wanting for a few other images, so I stamped some images twice, overlapping them to create some new flowers. For example, Birds & Blooms has a 3-leaf image that I stamped twice to make a 6-petal flower. I did a practice run on some scratch paper and ended up liking that one a bit better...funny how that happens sometimes. Quick question before I go -- I had planned to use Raspberry Fizz on my card as my dark pink, but when I stamped it, I could hardly tell a difference between it and Hibiscus Burst. For those of you who have both inks, is there a noticeable difference when you stamp the two colors? My Raspberry Fizz is less than a year old and I haven't used it much, but I'm wondering if maybe it's drying out and that is why the colors are looking so similar. Any ideas? Thanks for your help! Happy hopping!
Supplies (all PTI unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Bigger Blooms, Birds & Blooms, Turning a New Leaf
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White
Ink: Pink Passion, Pink Pirouette (SU!), London Fog (Memento), Hibiscus Burst

Very sweet card. If I was sick this would cheer me up.
ReplyDeleteOh...Lindsey! This is so Pretty with the larger mini bloom. Love...Love <3
ReplyDeleteLove how your flowers frame your panel! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty....
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous Lindsey. I love the pink and grays together. I'm sorry I'm not any help on the PTI inks. I don't have them!
ReplyDeleteVery feminine, soft and super pretty card!
ReplyDeleteYour sweet card would bring sunshine to anyone on the mend!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, have to say, they are different pinks when stamped. But I constantly re-ink my pads. It really helps keep the intensity of the colors!
So very pretty!! You framed the sentiment beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so cheerful and beautiful! (I am going to have to get that London Fog ink!) I love everything about your card!
ReplyDeletePink and gray is my favorite combo for 2014! Love how you've used it here. I finally got my first reinker for Christmas this year and it was Raspberry Fizz. I was shocked, SHOCKED, at what the color was "supposed" to be. It went from a pink to a fuchsia! Your Raspberry Fizz looks right here though ... it's the stalky flower on the left right? I don't have it, but I'm guessing the Hibiscus Burst would be the rose under it in the corner? It looks different to me!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card Lindsey. I am sitting here laughing my head off at Kelly's comment and being SHOCKED by the real colour of the Raspberry Fizz. I didn't get that stamp set but you have showcased it beautifully here. May have to do some shopping.
ReplyDeleteLindsey, this is super cute! Love how you combined all these stamp sets to create such a pretty card~ pink and grey is a fabulous combo too :-)
ReplyDeleteLindsey, I am going to CAS this card of yours, I love how you totally framed the sentiment...love love love!! Way to go girl! and I agree they are close in color, but if the raspberry fizz is reinked you should definitely see a brighter hot pink!
ReplyDeleteLindsey, what a BEAUTIFUL card! I love the pretty stamping & the color combination.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done!
This is beautiful! I pinned it to try later!
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely beatiful! Your stamping is perfect! I have all the PTI inks and there is defiantly a difference between the two colors. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card! Love the simplicity of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card. Perfect combination of the stamps. - Irma
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the scale of the stamping on the front panel! Great layout!
ReplyDeleteHey Lindsey… I would have thought you to love pink not sure why I thought that. I guess you are not using much pink with that little boy of yours. :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful and like Kelly.. I love pink and gray …. pink and almost anything. Love the way you framed this so beautifully with your stamping.… sure to help anyone get well.
I would have to go and check my inks…. I only have to reinkers.
Gorgeous!
I love the pink and gray combo--so pretty! I can't tell you about the difference as I only have Raspberry Fizz. I did order a re inker for it so maybe you need to re ink your pad? I love the different shades, though, so to me, it looks good!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully framed panel - my RF and HB are definitely two different colors.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Fabulous design and great colour combo.
ReplyDeletePink and grey is one of my favourite colour combinations and this card rocks big time! Love the placement of the flowers on your panel so much.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the pretty pink flowers peeking around the border!
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Lindsey. We all need a few bright flowers at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this!!!! Great job keeping the white space clean! So pretty, Lindsey!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, and is getting pinned. Love it--pink and grey are so nice together. I was using grey on some of my pink cards for the sentiment, but I like how you have used it on the images, too. My Raspberry Fizz is quite a bit darker than my Hibiscus Burst ink. Do you have Versacolor Opera Pink? Because that is what I was using for RF for a long time, until I sprung for the $5 RF ink. I'm wondering if you got a dried out pad or something? Pop on by some day, and I'll lend you some ink.
ReplyDeletePerfect placement of the flowers. Very pretty card.
ReplyDeleteLove the pinks and greys and how you stamped the corners. I think I'm going to have to CASE this! One of my favourites of the whole Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Lindsey!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Lindsey. Love the pink hues and how you stamped them around the edges.
