Hello! I've had a couple of cards to share for the last few weeks, but December has been pretty crazy around here, and I'm just now getting the chance to share them. During the 25 Days of Christmas Tags events, one of my favorite tags I made used Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Poinsettias. (You can see the tag HERE.) It creates a large, beautiful flower, and I knew when I made the tag that I wanted to use it again to make some cards. My first card is large. It's 5x7 in size, which I rarely do, but the size was perfect to really let the poinsettia shine.
It's interesting that the closer I get to Christmas, the more I want to use traditional Christmas colors on my projects. I'm not sure why, but it happens every year. I don't use red a ton throughout the year, but at Christmastime I can't get enough of it. On today's cards I decided to use it in a bit of an unusual way and cut the pine sprigs in red instead of the poinsettia.
I used metallic silver for the leaf accents, added metallic silver jewels to the center of the flower, and embossed a sentiment from Penguin Pals in silver as well.
I was left with some extra poinsettia and pine pieces, so I decided to use them to make a second card. I also tucked in a few vellum poinsettia layers.
Pretty Pink Posh's script dies are my favorite, so it's no surprise that I reached for their Merry Christmas Script die to finish off my card.
Thanks so much for visiting today! I love the word merry. You can't help but smile when you say it, and I truly hope that despite all the craziness of this year that your heart can feel merry this Christmas week and that you have a blessed Christmas!
