PPP: Easter Preview

Hello, friends!  Pretty Pink Posh has been having a fabulous week full of Easter goodness, and today I get to share a card over on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.  I hope you’ll pop on over to take a look.  I loved their latest release, and I used a bunch of my favorite products on my Easter card.  I’m pretty fond of it. :) You can find it HERE.

Pretty Pink Posh: Hedgehog Birthday Take 2

Hello!  A couple weeks ago I shared a little hedgehog birthday card that was black and white with just a bit of color.  (You can find it here.)  Well, the more I looked at the tiny colorful stripes on that card, the more I wanted to use them again, so I mega sized the stripes and made this card.
I cut 1" strips of Concord and 9th's Sprout, Clover, Sea Glass, and Peacock cardstock, then embossed Pretty Pink Posh's Hedgehog Birthday in white.  Now the image just didn't stand out enough on it's own, so I blended white ink over the entire thing to heighten the contrast.  To make the image pop even more, I outlined the entire image with a VersaMarker embossing pen. Just two simple steps, but they really made a positive impact on the card.
Another simple, very mailable card to add to my stash...or better yet, send out.  I hope you are headed into a wonderful week, friends!  Thank you alwyas for your visits!

Pretty Pink Posh: Insta Hop

Good morning, friends!  I'm happy to be participating in a fun two-day Instagram Hop for Pretty Pink Posh starting today.  Of course there are prizes, so I hope you'll hop on over to my instagram account (click HERE) and join the fun. :) We're sharing projects using Pretty Pink Posh's brand new release.
This release was packed with amazing new stamps, dies, stencils, and embellishments, so it was a bit hard to narrow down what I wanted to use for today's card.  In the end the darling Party Pop Clay Confetti won me over, so I decided to create a fun shaker card to highlight these fun new colors.
I used the new Spring Eggs Die to die cut several eggs across a 3x8" panel.  Then I took a second panel and blended a rainbow of pastel inks across the cardstock to coordinate with the colors in the Party Pop Clay Confetti. After outlining each section of eggs with foam tape, I filled them with the coordinating confetti color and placed the die cut egg windows on top.
I didn't want to take anything away from the colorful eggs, but I wanted to fancy up the card front just a tad, so I cut three layers using the Slimline: Scallop Frames Dies and placed them on my egg window panel.  I finished off my card with a senitiment using the brand new Fancy Easter Script Dies.  And I have to say, this card makes me smile pretty big.  The promises of spring and especially Easter just fill my soul to the brim with happiness.
Thanks for visiting today!  I hope your day is full of sunshine and all the happy things.  Don't forget to join the Insta Hop HERE for your chance to win some Pretty Pink Posh gift certificates.
