25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 16

Hello, friends!  I'm super excited about today's tags.  If you've been around here any length of time, you know that Concord & 9th holds a special place in my heart.  Great people, great products.  I just love them!  So everytime I pull out their products to craft I get the warm fuzzies. :)

They are the sponsor today, and combined some long-time favorites and some newer products for my tag.  Though I was a bit frantic making this tag (I was on a major time crunch), I was really happy with how it turned out.  I may have gone a bit overboard with the greenery, but I loved all the pieces so much I couldn't take a single one off.  In fact, I ended up tucking in a couple more and had to rephotograph everything...twice.

The base of my tag is Concord & 9th's Tree Ring Stamp.  I stamped it in C9's wheat ink on wheat cardstock and trimmed it out.  I cut a second smaller tag from the Love Notes Envelope dies and embossed a sentiment from Snow Flurry.

Now it was time to create my floral spray, so I pulled out a bunch of Concord & 9th's cardstocks and all of my flower and foilage dies and started mixing and matching.  I thought it would be easiest to make some visuals for this post...partially so I can remember if I ever want to recreate this, but hopefully they're helpful for you, too.

I made my poinsettia using Fresh Cut Florals 3, offsetting the layers unevenly.  This is not the intended flower for this die, but I've found I can make several different flowers using the Fresh Cut Floral series with a little creativity.  I filled the center of the poinsettia with various sizes of white and grey pearls.  I also cut the white berries from this Fresh Cut Florals 3.  The dove and mushroom leaves and the large sorbet berries were cut with Fresh Cut Florals 1. The smaller grapefruit sprig is a die from the Magnolia Wreath Dies, and the evergreen leaf comes from the Just Because dies.

Fun sidenote: I had the opportunity to meet the Concord & 9th team a few years back.  (When I say I love them, I truly mean it.)  During our conversation I mentioned I would love more foilage options.  They listened to my request and a few months later created the Just Because stamp set and dies.  See what I mean about being great people?

Okay, back to the tag.  I arranged the foilage and held it together with press-n-seal until I glued it all together.  The press-n-seal randomly picked up a 3mm Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequin, but I liked the look of it so much that I decided to add a sprinkle of them on the leaves.

Phew.  That was a surprisingly long post!  If you made it to the end, thanks for sticking with me. :) Also, you'll absolutley want to visit Tracey's blog today to see what my teammates created.  I was blown away by their tags!
