Waffle Flower July Release Day + GIVEAWAY

Hello!  Today is the big day!  Waffle Flower's Christmas in July release is live and ready for shopping.  Yay!  You can shop all the new goodies HERE.  Plus, I have a GIVEAWAY to share with you, so make sure you read to the bottom of the post.

As I mentioned earlier this week, I love poinsettias, so I was eager to pull them out again to make another card. I am completely smitten with the PoinsettiaDie-n-stencil!  There are leaves built right into the design, or you can just make extra-large flowers like I did here.
I actually started by making the leaf layer, but then I loved the green so much, I decided to make an entire poinsettia with it.  I used three shades of green for the green flower: sea glasseucalyptus, and evergreen.  For the coral flower I used nectargrapefruit, and sorbet
I wanted lots of shimmer and shine on this card, so I made a shaker out of the Sweet Plaid Panel Die and filled it full of sparkly things.  I pulled out sequins, beads, and jewels from Pretty Pink Posh to fill my shaker.  I also added shimmer paint flecks, gold pearls, and a gold embossed sentiment from The Family Christmas Sentiments.  These sentiments are fabulous, and I could have happily used them on every card.
I framed the sentiment by pressing the edges of the rectangle into versamark ink and covering it with gold embossing powder.
Finally I added a few enamel dots and pearls to the centers of the poinsettias and called it a day. :)

Thanks so much for visiting today!  All of these fabulous products and more are available today, so make sure you head over to the Waffle Flower Shop to check out this amazing new release.  But before you go, don't forget to enter the giveaway. :)

Sneak Peek Day 2: Waffle Flower's Christmas in July

Hello and welcome back to Day 2 of Waffle Flower's Christmas in July sneak peeks! If you love poinsettias (and I most definitely do!), you are going to love all the poinsettia products in this release.

I combined two of my favorites on this card: the Poinsettia Die-n-stencil & Poinsettia Background Stencil. The Poinsettia Background Stencil makes the prettiest backgrounds with a touch of magic because of the sparkles and dots in the design.  Love it!  The stencil makes adding multiple colors in the design easy, but I was in the mood for a monochromatic card, so I went with it.

The lovely colors I chose are powder, midnight, and white from Concord and 9th.  Because I wanted some variance in the brightness of the whites in the design, I went over some of the dots and sparkles with a white gel pen.

I added a sentiment from the oldie but goodie Oversized Joy Combo and layered the smaller of the two poinsettias from the Poinsettia Die-n-stencil behind it.  I finished my card of with a sprinkling of star confetti cut with the new Overlapping Christmas Words Dies

I hope you are enjoying these sneak peeks!   These cards and new products make me smile lots. :)  See you tomorrow!

Waffle Flower Christmas in July Sneak Peek

Hello, friends!  Today starts the beginning of Waffle Flower's Christmas in July Sneak Peeks.  Yay!  I never have time to make Christmas cards in December, so I'm all for Christmas in July.

You know it wouldn't be a special Waffle Flower release without a new addition to the Postage Collage Collection, right?  Well, good news is that there are several additions in this release!  Today I'm giving you a peek of the Postage Collage Poinsettia.  ALL the heart eyes for this one!  It's quickly become a favorite.
Maybe because I was creating this card in June, but I decided to go with a really fresh and fun color scheme.  It is most definitely non-traditional, but I have to say....I LOVE it!  The colors are Concord & 9th's nectar, grapefruitpowdereucalyptus, evergreen, and honeycomb
One thing I love about the Postage Collage Collection is how quickly a card can come together.  After die cutting the  Postage Collage Die, in no time I was able to create a beautiful background of flowers with the Postage Collage Poinsettia stencils.  I loved the flowers so much I didn’t want to cover them, so I kept my card simple and added just a few gold and glitter details.
It was such a simple change up, but I think embossing the postage in gold gave it a very different feel than the typical black stamping I do.  Speaking of gold, a gold embossed sentiment from the new Family Christmas Sentiments Stamp Set was the perfect finishing touch for my card.  I'm a huge fan of this new sentiment set!
Thanks so much for visiting today!  Make sure you come back tomorrow because I'll have sneak peeks to share all week. :)
